Ethically Yours is the official X-Phi Solutions blog. Here we will primarily focus on military and medical ethics, broadly construed. However, due to our varied interests and the multi-disciplinary aspect of our work, we will also cover issues or updates we find interesting in the worlds of philosophy, mathematics, and martial arts.
Our audience ranges from seasoned professionals to interested amateurs. Our aim is primarily educational. We want to provide a source of current events, case studies, philosophical questioning, and reasoned discussions. We encourage visitors to add comments and post relevant links. Help the conversation “go and flow.” We expect that sometimes people will disagree. That’s okay. But when you disagree please remember that our expectations are that people will (1) focus on discussing ideas, not attacking people, (2) keep it professional, and (3) try to have fun. This is a learning environment.
We like John Stuart Mill’s works. As such, we are generally fans of free speech and oppose censorship. We like the idea that in a “marketplace of ideas” bad opinions will disappear while the truth rises to the top. However, we also know that people often ascribe to a right of free speech without understanding that there are also corresponding responsibilities when speaking. Rules are made for those we cannot trust to do the right thing. For those people our general rule is that comments or spam which detracts from the conversation are subject to deletion or editing. Much like the US Legal System and Tax Code, rules will be added as needed.

By posting any comments, posts or other material on X-Phi Solutions-sponsored blogs or websites, you give X-Phi Solutions the irrevocable right to reproduce, distribute, publish, display, edit, modify, create derivative works from, and otherwise use your submission for any purpose in any form and on any media. - Post material that infringes on the rights of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights.
- Post material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, slanderous, hateful, or embarrassing to any other person or entity as determined by Mayo in its sole discretion.

- Terminate a user’s access to the blog feature upon any breach of these Terms and Conditions.
- Edit or delete any communications posted on the blog feature, regardless of whether such communications violate these standards.
Finally, you agree that you will indemnify X-Phi Solutions against any damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) arising out of a claim by a third party relating to any material you have posted.
